We serve a wide range of occasions, including weddings, corporate functions, social gatherings, and private celebrations. Our team caters everything from intimate dinners and rehearsal events to large-scale galas and company parties. We offer flexible service styles; such as plated meals, buffets, stations, hors d’oeuvres for our full-service events. Additionally we provide drop-off catering for more casual or low-touch events. With customizable menus and accommodations for dietary needs, we support events of all sizes and styles.

Full-service catering means our team manages every aspect of your event’s food, bar and beverage service, staffing, and rentals from beginning to end. This includes menu planning, floor layouts, event setup, on-site execution, and complete cleanup once the celebration wraps. We handle every detail so you can relax and enjoy your event without worrying about the logistics.

We cater private business meetings, luncheons, conferences, employee appreciation events, grand openings, and holiday parties. We offer flexible menus and custom options for different corporate audiences.

We cater intimate dinner parties, birthdays, engagement parties, holidays, anniversaries, and special occasion celebrations and more. We can set up in backyards, homes, or event venues.

We do much more than provide food; we partner with you to design and manage your entire event. For weddings, we offer planning support, timeline guidance, and reminders throughout the process. For corporate and private events, we collaborate with you from concept to execution. Our team manages the event timeline, coordinates with your other vendors, and ensures every detail runs seamlessly so you can simply enjoy your event

Yes. We regularly travel throughout Massachusetts; including the South Shore, North Shore, MetroWest, Cape Cod, the Islands, and Central and Western Massachusetts. We also cater events across New England, such as in New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine, and Connecticut. If your event is farther afield, we’re always happy to discuss travel options and logistics

Yes. We cater fundraising events, galas, and nonprofit gatherings of all sizes. Our team works closely with you to design menus that align with your event goals, guest experience, and budget constraints — including considerations for ticket pricing. We’re also happy to assist with timeline planning and vendor coordination to help your event run seamlessly.

Drop-off catering is when we deliver fully prepared, ready-to-serve meals directly to your location. We set up the food with serving utensils and handle delivery with no on-site staff required. Perfect for corporate meetings and office events.

Our delivery minimum is $1,000 for food and beverages. Most menu items serve a minimum of 25 guests.

Delivery fees start at $75 and up depending on your location in the Boston area.

We deliver Monday through Sunday, 8am-6pm. Contact us should you have a special timing request.

We’re located at 170 Spring St, Boston, MA 02132 and serve locations in and around Boston.

Yes. Serving tongs and spoons are always included with your order. Additional items are available for an add-on fee — including plates, utensils, and plastic tablecloths. For hot items, we offer disposable chafing dish buffet sets, which include 2-hour fuel cans, steam pans, wire racks, and serving utensils to keep your food warm throughout your event.

We offer a variety of options to accommodate dietary restrictions, allergens, and guest preferences, including vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan dishes. Our team is happy to work with you to ensure all guests have delicious and suitable choices.

Our three main packages are:

Each package includes multiple entrees, sides, and accompaniments.

Yes. We offer a variety of breakfast options, from assorted pastries and fresh fruit to granola parfaits and coffee service. Our breakfast catering is perfect for early meetings and staff breakfasts.

Individual items range from $9/person to $25/person. Platters range from $60 to $375 (all serve 25). Complete catering packages are $48-$55/person with a $1,000 minimum order and $75+ delivery fee.

Yes. We offer kid-friendly options including Mac & Cheese, BBQ Pulled Pork with slider rolls, and Pigs In A Blanket and more.

Johnny Burke Catering & Events is a chef-owned and operated company since 2018 offering both full service events and drop off catering.

We work with 30+ exclusive venue partnerships across Boston and surrounding areas, from historic mansions to waterfront locations, breweries, museums, and rooftop spaces.

Our largest venue is Roadrunner with capacity for up to 3,500 guests. We also work with Black Falcon Terminal (2,000+ guests) and The Sinclair (525 guests).

Our most intimate venues include Sunset Yacht Rentals, and small yacht charters from Charles River Boat Company accommodating small groups.

The Sinclair in Cambridge can accommodate up to 525 guests. It’s a music venue, event space, and restaurant ideal for weddings with a rockstar edge, corporate parties, and rehearsal dinners.

Hammond Castle Museum is located at 80 Hesperus Avenue, Gloucester, MA 01930. The historic castle venue accommodates up to 120 guests and is ideal for fairytale weddings, elopements, proposals, and private dinners.

We are the exclusive or preferred caterer for our partner venues. The venue rental is separate from catering costs. We coordinate with each venue to provide seamless event planning and catering services. Should you be hosting at a venue where we are currently not a preferred caterer we will happily introduce ourselves to that venue, provide appropriate licenses and documentation and meet with the venue manager to learn about the space.

We offer historic mansions (Endicott Estate, Stonehurst Estate), waterfront locations (Harry Parker Boathouse, Charles Riverboat Company), museums (Hammond Castle, Larz Anderson Auto Museum), gardens (Gardens at Elm Bank), breweries (Roundhead Brewery), and unique spaces like comedy clubs and yacht charters.

The CRI Harry Parker Boathouse is located at 20 Nonantum Road, Brighton, MA 02135. This waterfront venue with tented options can accommodate 500+ guests.

Stonehurst Estate, located at 100 Robert Treat Paine Drive, Waltham, MA 02452, accommodates up to 150 guests. It’s a National Historic Landmark ideal for elegant New England weddings.

The Endicott Estate in Dedham accommodates up to 200 guests. Located at 656 East Street, Dedham, MA 02026, it’s a historic mansion estate on the National Register of Historic Places.

Yes. We work with several waterfront venues including CRI Harry Parker Boathouse (Brighton), Charles Riverboat Company (Boston Harbor), Sunset Yacht Rentals (Marina Bay, Quincy), and Boston Harbor Distillery (historic waterfront mill) and Hammond Castle (castle with oceanview)

For large corporate events, we recommend Roadrunner (3,500 guests), Black Falcon Terminal (2,000+ guests), Arts at the Armory (395 guests), or CRI Harry Parker Boathouse (500+ guests).

More Than Words is located at 242 East Berkeley Street, Boston, MA 02118. This urban, mission-driven nonprofit event space has 100+ capacity and is ideal for fundraisers, networking events, and intimate weddings.
